his unit is work 50% of the AS and 25% of the A Level.

It is the compulsory unit which will be examined in Paper 1 of the AS exam and the A Level exam and include the Methods in Context question.

In this unit you will discuss:

• The role and function of Education
• Differential Educational Achievement
• Relationships and Processes in school.
• Educational Policies including marketisation, impact of globalisation, strive for equality.
